PATRICK SHANNON - Media Designer

I'm a First Nations media designer, focusing on creating beautiful imagery that I hope inspires.

Being raised by my elders in a small native fishing village, I was surrounded by my people's art and culture that put me on the path of creativity that has defined my life.

Self taught in all my creative mediums, I continually strive to be better and approach what we see every day from new perspectives.

I'm currently the graphic designer for the Rio Theatre,

co-founder of the non-profit collective Project Gwaii, and Creative Director for The Hockeygods; a self employed photographer, video director, graphic designer and web designer.

I have produced content for the Vancouver Canucks, Apple Inc. and my work has been seen in most major news publications, magazines and TV stations across Canada.

I can usually be found in a coffee shop with a MacBook in hand, or in my village on Haida Gwaii connecting with my community.

WHAT I LOVE

I love sitting at a window while I work, I love a great cup of coffee; I love that feeling I get when someone loves the work I've done. I love being a part of a community that I can help make stronger through art and creativity.

I love what I do, and that makes me excited to wake up every single morning/afternoon.
